The theme is Time to Travel….Destination AuctioNerinx. Please submit your design by September 12th. Original artwork of the design will also be an item for the auction. The winning designer will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Nerinx Bookstore.
AuctioNerinx Chairs AnnouncedMark your calendar for this exciting destination--March 14, 2009 at the Sheraton Wesport-Lakeside Chalet. The chairs for this year’s auction are Gina Baruzzini-Augsburger, Lynette Guignard-Sielfleisch, and Rita Switzer. They are already working on confirming sub-committees, soliciting items and planning new ways to market the auction. I AuctioNerinx is our major fundraiser for the school and it is a community event. We do hope that all of our parents will play a role in this event. For additional information, contact the Auction Office at 314-968-1505 Ext. 103. Remember—it is not too early to drop off items for the auction. Gift forms are available in the Lockwood House and need to be attached to your item when you drop it off in the Auction Office.
Lori Chalupny '02 Makes 2008 Olympic Team!2002 alumna Lori Chalupny is ready to make her mark in front of the entire world at the 29th Summer Olympic games! From the fields at Nerinx, to playing for North Carolina, to being selected a member of the U.S. Women's Soccer team, Lori is a truly phenomenal athlete! The United States Women's Soccer team are the defending world champions in Beijing this summer, and Chalupny is a key player on the 18-person roster. Chalupny plays both midfielder and defender, "With her foot speed and flexibility, she has often been compared to long-time national team member and captain Kristine Lilly" (nbcolympics.com). The Opening Ceremonies for the Olymics begin on Friday, August 8, 2008. The soccer competitions begin on Saturday, August 9, 2008, with the championship finals scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2008. Nerinx Grad ReturnsColleen Caul, Class of 2000, has joined the staff of the Advancement Office. Colleen is a graduate of Northwestern University and recently relocated from New York to St. Louis. As an Advancement Associate she will be working with parents, alums and students on various projects and events.
Nerinx Announces New Associate PrincipalNerinx is proud to welcome Angela Fischer Zinkl to the position of associate principal in the fall. Angela is a ’97 graduate of Nerinx who continued her education at Webster University after graduating from Nerinx. The Nerinx community is anticipating the vital role Angela will play in the years to come.
